Introduction To Asthma
Asthma is growing at a phenominal
rate and those that suffer from it in the British Isles number over 5
million.
In most major hospitals in the
British Isles, Asthma Practices have been set up.
Those who suffer are usually
inhibited in taking part in running, sports and other such activities. This
is most difficult for those still at school.
Asthma is a killer. It is estimated
that in the past few years as many as 2,300 people per year have died as a
result of Asthma. With the latest medicines there is an improvement to this
figure. It is hoped that the mortality rate among Asthma sufferers will be
lowered even further.
Doctors and Specialists have treated more patients for Asthma this year and are aware of the many medicines on the market. These medicines mainly keep Asthma at a low level which enables the patient to have a better quality of life.
