What We Do

Asthma Relief Charity was set up in 1997, when Founder and Honorary Manager, Dave Penman noticed a shortage of nebulisers whilst convalescing, from heart surgery, in hospital.

The charity now donates nebulisers to hospitals, doctor's surgeries, hospices, residential homes and individuals who have been referred to us by their GP. We are regularly contacted by many community nurses, requesting nebulisers for patients, who after a stay in hospital, are able to go home but still need to use a nebuliser.

We cover the whole of the UK and have placed breathing equipment as far north as Aberdeen down to Truro in Cornwall!

We have a FREE 24 hour, Call Out service, for maintenance and repairs, which covers a 15 mile radius of Swindon. For those further away we can send out spares parts, such as face mask kits and filters, alternatively patients can send us their nebuliser by post; we will try our best to provide a replacement nebuliser while the service is being carried out.

We offer support to people with all types of breathing difficulties; as well as Asthma Nurses, we also work with COPD Units, Respiratory Departments and Lung Function Units, at hospitals.

We also try to help out in emergency situations, such as the recent flood areas, where we were able to send 13 nebulisers.

We are a small Charity trying to support people with breathing difficulties and can only continue to carry out our work through the generosity and kindness of those who support us financially.
